Pacific Northwest Work Adventures takes you to an iconic island community while working with leaders in tourism and adventure. This destination work program is located in the San Juan Islands off the coast of Washington state.

San Juan Islands Program Details
The Washington Pacific Northwest Work Adventures program isn’t just a summer job. It’s an opportunity to invest in your skillset. Once we connect you with a position that fits your experience and interests, we support you throughout the job.
As an Adventure EXP program participant, you’ll get personalized career coaching with our team. You’ll also complete basic personal finance training in budgeting, credit, investing, and earnings.
Most of our job seekers travel to Washington from across the country. We’ll get you settled into your new home by connecting you to housing, transportation, and excursions. We’ve got your back at every step of the way.
The Pacific Northwest Work Adventures provides the following benefits:
- CPR/First Aid Certification and Wilderness First Responder (WFR) Certification
- Paid seasonal positions working in the outdoors in an exciting tourism industry
- Shared housing up to $500 / month
- Excursions to local points of interest
For this program, you will need to provide your own waterproof gear for cold-water conditions. Detailed needed equipment will be provided to you with recommended vendors
AdventureEXP’s shared housing typically requires an upfront cost of a refundable deposit equal to one month’s rent and your first month’s rent. Remaining months will be deducted from your paycheck

We ensure that all participants have the option of a cost-positive experience. All of our positions are paid, meaning that you walk away richer in cash and experience.

Once you’ve been accepted to Pacific Northwest Work Adventures, you’re guaranteed a summer job with one of our partner employers. Most of our positions are full-time, temporary roles. We have entry to mid-level opportunities in the following industries:



Excursions
On every AdventureEXP program, our programs are designed as a structured & guided but independent experience. We plan a couple activities and day trips to help you get acquainted with the destination and add-value to your travel experience. All of these excursions are included in your Program Fee, although they are optional.
